CHAIRMAN T.3. -Cybersecurity, Critical Infrastructure, IoT and AI Investigation
Umberto Battista is Project Manager at Stam and responsible for the projects in the areas of Security and Transports. He has 15 years’ experience in R&D and matured a strong experience in modelling and simulation, for instance: robotic systems for IED ordnance disposal, explosions and effects on vehicles and structures, crowd behaviour in large infrastructures. He has actively contributed to a number of R&D projects at regional, national and European level, since FP6. He has successfully coordinated several H2020 projects, in different fields and in particular focused on the security of critical infrastructures: DAISY, ADR1EN, FAIR Stations, EUProtect. He is currently member of the Technical and Scientific Committees of START 4.0 (the Competence Centre for the Security and Optimization of Strategic Infrastructures) and TRANSIT (Technology, Research and Innovation Network for Communication Systems, Security and Intermodality in Smart Integrated Transports).
